This policy explains what information Share Weather handles, why it is needed, and the choices available to you.

1. Scope and operator

This Privacy Policy applies to the Share Weather mobile application and related support pages operated by Studio Doouu (“we,” “us,” or “our”). Share Weather does not require a user account.

2. Information we process

Location (optional)
When you enable current-location weather, the app obtains precise or approximate coordinates and the device time zone. Coordinates and time zone are sent through our Supabase backend to retrieve weather information. Your device’s geocoding service may convert coordinates into a place name. You can deny or revoke permission and continue using searched cities.
City search and weather requests
A city query, selected language, optional country hint, city identifier, coordinates, or time zone may be sent to our backend to find places and return weather forecasts. Network and security logs may include IP address, timestamps, request status, and technical diagnostics.
Information stored on your device
Saved cities, language, weather units, location-feature preference, and similar settings are stored locally to remember your choices.
Advertising and consent data
The app uses Google Mobile Ads and Google User Messaging Platform. Google and participating advertising partners may process device or advertising identifiers, IP address, approximate location, app interactions, ad views and clicks, consent choices, and diagnostics for ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention, and—where permitted—personalization.

The app does not ask us for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, payment information, or user-generated content. Support email is processed only when you choose to contact us.

3. How we use information

  • Provide city search, forecasts, current-location weather, and localized place names.
  • Remember your settings and saved locations on your device.
  • Deliver ads, manage consent, measure performance, and prevent invalid activity.
  • Maintain security, diagnose failures, respond to support, and improve reliability.
  • Comply with applicable law and enforce service policies.

4. Service providers and disclosures

We use providers needed to operate the app. They may process information under their own terms and privacy policies:

  • Supabase — backend infrastructure, city search, and weather request processing
  • Apple Weather — weather data used by the app
  • Apple or Google geocoding services — conversion of coordinates into place names, depending on your device
  • Google Mobile Ads / UMP — advertising, consent management, measurement, and fraud prevention

We do not sell personal information for money. Advertising partners may process or share data for cross-context behavioral advertising where allowed and selected; use the consent and device controls available to you.

6. Retention

  • Local preferences remain until you remove them, clear app data, or uninstall the app.
  • Weather requests may be processed or cached for a limited period to provide forecasts efficiently. Operational logs are retained only as reasonably needed for security, troubleshooting, and legal obligations.
  • Advertising and infrastructure providers retain data under their own documented policies and settings.
  • Support messages are retained as needed to resolve the request and maintain an appropriate support record, then deleted or anonymized when no longer needed.

7. Your choices and rights

  • Allow, limit, or revoke location permission in device settings; turn off current-location weather in the app.
  • Use the advertising consent interface where available and your device’s privacy or advertising controls.
  • Delete saved cities, clear local app data where supported, or uninstall the app.
  • Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection regarding information we control, and you may complain to your local data-protection authority.

Because there is no Share Weather account, there is no account profile to delete. To make a privacy request, contact us using the address below. We may need information sufficient to verify and locate the relevant record.

8. Security and international processing

App-to-backend requests use HTTPS, and we apply reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the information handled. No system is completely secure. Providers may process information in countries other than yours and use contractual or other lawful safeguards for international transfers where required.

9. Children’s privacy

Share Weather is a general-audience app and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly request personal information directly from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us in a way that requires parental consent, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app, providers, or legal requirements change. We will update the date above and, when appropriate, provide additional notice in the app or on this page.
